The Delta Prep program usually has anywhere from 8 to 10 sessions that take place in the summer months (July to September) on Sunday mornings from 9AM to 12PM. 

Upon sign-up, volunteers are able to choose from the following teams (we plan on adding more teams as the program develops):

• Tutoring

• Curriculum Development

• Marketing and Advertising

Volunteers can expect to go through onboarding and comprehensive training to better assist our both our team and students. After this training session, we may have a shadowing experience before volunteers are expected to own their work. Delta Prep is a small non-profit and regardless of which team you join, you will be able to see your work come to life in real time.

Tutors will also have access to the following by tutoring with Delta Prep:

• Academic or professional advice and guidance from our Board of Directors and Executive team

• References or Letters of Recommendation

• Letters confirming volunteer hours

• Access to our volunteer network and the ability to reach out for mentorship, guidance, or support

Delta Prep is a very transparent and open team. We frequently ask our volunteers if there is anything we can better and what they think has gone well. We take the feedback seriously as we believe everybody's opinion matters here. 

All of us at Delta Prep are volunteers (we are not paid) and we work here out of the goodness in our hearts. We expect our volunteers to share that same sentiment and to genuinely want to help our students. If we all put in 100% in our work, the difference we can create becomes even stronger. 

Since your work directly affects our students - we value an open type of collaboration where everybody's opinion matters. We follow up with all volunteers after every class session and ask how their experience has been thus far. We ask for any feedback, anything that could be better, or any general suggestions so that we are able to make this experience better for all parties involved in Delta Prep.
