Delta Prep is a completely volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is geared towards mentoring, helping, and educating the community.

Our mission is to provide free high quality tutoring and mentoring to students of all races, ethnicities, and backgrounds. We believe that all students should have an equal opportunity and access to high quality tutoring, regardless of socioeconomic status or circumstances.

We currently have two completely free programs: our main SHSAT Tutoring we have offered since 2017, and our new CS Program that began in 2024.
Before tutoring our students, all tutors receive comprehensive training. If needed, tutors receive guidance from our senior members of Delta Prep, who are either in college or have graduated from college and are working full-time positions.
Our experience has led to a notable number of our students earning admission into specialized high schools, especially Stuyvesant, Bronx Science, and Brooklyn Tech.
Our SHSAT Prep Program has always been free and always will be. You don't have to worry about any payments nor fees. We believe that all students should have equal opportunity and access to high-quality tutoring regardless of socioeconomic status or circumstance.
We will never reach out asking for any form of payment and if somebody does, please let our team know immediately.
Our brand new CS Program was launched in 2024. This program is completely free and we are accepting middle school students that will be entering the 8th grade this fall. As we expect a high demand for this course, we are accepting a limited number of students, but we may open a waitlist to allow other students access.
This program is taught and led by Fariha Ahmed, a former Delta Prep SHSAT Tutor.
